Are you planning on travelling to Barcelona?

Barcelona! It’s the perfect city for going on holidays. If you have never been there, you’ll be surprised. As soon as you leave, you’ll be thinking about returning. Before going to Barcelona, you should know…

Barcelona? Why should you visit Barcelona?

Barcelona is a fabulous city and one of the best, if not the best, destinations in the world for your next holidays. You can plan your visit in many different ways since you can choose from different options: cultural visits, shows, hundreds of places to enjoy.

Once you have visited Barcelona, you’ll see why we recommend it so much.

Which is the best season to visit Barcelona?

Any season is a good season, however, the month of September is the best. The climate is wonderful, there are not many queues at the monuments and the hotels are cheaper (bear in mind that it’s the lousiest month for the hotels since there are not so many tourists and the conventions haven’t started yet).

The month of March and the beginning of April is another good season. After that, there start to be more tourists and during summer things can get a bit annoying because there are people everywhere. Remember that after October conventions start and it might be very difficult to find a good hotel at a cheap price.

How many days should I spend in Barcelona?

The ideal is to spend five o six nights. If it’s your first time, we don’t recommend staying fewer nights since once you are there you’ll see that there are many thing to do, and you won’t have time to do even half of them.

A very important piece of advice, you should schedule a few days for resting after your trip. Barcelona is a very exciting city and there are thousand of things to do and you won’t stop, so you will end up very tired.

If you can, the best thing you can do is to arrive on Friday afternoon, stay in Barcelona till the next Friday and relax back home during the weekend. If you don’t, we can assure you, that you will be too tired to go to work.

How much is it going to cost me?

Barcelona, although people sometimes complain about its prices, isn’t a very expensive city. On the contrary, if you have in mind all the adventures you will undertake during your trip, you’ll see that it’s not very expensive.

However, we advice you have a planned budget. Barcelona is not expensive but it’s the ideal city to spend. It’s full of shops, good restaurants, shows, etc. So you have to be sure how much money you want to spend, otherwise you’ll spend all your savings.

If you are accompanied by someone and you stay 6 days (5 nights) in Barcelona, you will spend approximately €650 – 700 each. An average person spends €120 per day.
