Restaurants in London

The vast majority of the restaurants in London are expensive, specially the ones located in the city centre. Moreover, the majority of them don't really offer anything special.

We give you some tips on what to eat and where in London, as follows:

Buffet restaurants

In the city centre of London you'll find a vast variety of buffet restaurants that offer very competitive prices. There are different types of buffet restaurants: chinese food, pasta, pizza, etc.

Chinese food buffets are mainly distributed along China Town and Soho districts, and the other types of buffet restaurants are distributed along the city centre.

Eating in a pub

Eating in a pub can be a good option. There are a lot of pubs in London and you'llf ind one of them in any corner of the city. Pubs offer all kinds of food at a very reasonable price. And don't forget to drink a beer!

Moreover, pubs are interesting in order to know these kind of bars, so characteristic in Great Britain. You can take advantage of it, and we strongly recommend you to visit a pub located in Saint Katherine Docks, called Charles Dickens Inn, a very beautiful and typical English pub.

Fast Food meals

As long as you don't find a cheap place to eat, or when are tired of going to buffet restaurants, don't forget that you can always count on Fast Food restaurants: McDonald's, Kentucky, Pizza Hut... Obviously, there are a lot of them distributed all along the city.

And why not a pic-nic?

Doing a pic-nic in London is an excellent option if you find a sunny day and if it doesn't rain. Lonon people take advantage of it and they tend to do pic-nics in one of the parks of the city. The London parks are so beautiful, that you'll only need a supermarket where you can buy the food to prepare your sandwich.

And if you don't want you prepare yourself the sandwich, you can buy a ready made one and take it to the park. You can buy it at the little street shops or at the supermarket.

Any advice?

Although when searching a little it isn't really difficult to find a cheap place to eat, our main advice is that you book a hotel or bed&breakfast that gives you a good breakfast, if possible the traditional English Breakfast.

If they give you a big breakfast we can assure you that you won't be hungry for the lunch time and you won't need to find a restaurant. Maybe with only a sandwich you'll be ready to go on until dinner time. That way you'll earn a lot of money on meals and restaurants.
