Eating in Sardinia

The secret of the Sardinian pizza

Pizza is, without any doubt, the best option to eat in Sardinia. As in almost all the cities and regions in Italy, the pizza in the island is spectacular. In Sardinia there's something that other Italian pizzas don't have: the wood oven.

A lot of restaurants in Sardinia cook the pizzas in wood ovens, that's why pizzas in the island are better than in other regions. The taste of these pizzas cannot be compared to any other pizza. Moreover, these restaurants usually use natural and fress ingredients to cook the pizzas, what we can't find in other restaurants.

Fine doughs, natural and fress ingredients, wood ovens... the perfect ingredients to taste and enjoy what are, without any doubt, the best pizzas in Italy.

Furthermore, eating pizzas in Sardinia is a very economic option: the average price for a pizza in a restaurant is about 5 €, although in some places you can find them for only 3,60 €.

Pasta

Pasta in Sardinia is also a very interesting option. As almost every part of Italy, there are a lot of restaurants that offer tasteful pasta dishes, always using natural and fresh ingredients, as with the pizzas.

In general, eating in Sardinia isn't expensive, we can say that is a little cheaper than in Spain. Pizzas are the best option if you don't have a high budget, although pasta dishes are also economic.

If you decide to eat pizza, it's worth to take the car and search for a restaurant that uses a wood oven, the resulting pizzas are unique! Usually these restaurants have a placard outside saying that their pizzas are cooking using a wood oven, so you won't have difficulties in finding them.

Seafood restaurants

You'll find seafood restaurants in the sea cost areas, specially in Alghero or the cities in Costa Smeralda. Of course, these restaurants are more expensive than the ones that offer pizzas or pasta, but the seafood is of a very high quality and it's worthy if you are a good gourmet!

We suggest you to visit Alghero.
