Some curiosities and recommendations:

Virgin island, almost undiscovered

Nowadays there are a few places that rest undiscovered, or places where tourism isn't part of the landscape. Sardinia is one of these places, and maybe it's so that makes it a virgin place, almost undiscovered.

However, it's a very beautiful island and the beaches in Costa Smeralda are of dream, specially the coves of Maddalena island. They have a very good gastronomy, of which we have already discussed the pizzas, which are cooked in wood ovens.

Most of the tourism of the island come from Italy, because some time ago there weren't many flight companies that offered flights to Sardinia. However, nowadays there are a lot of opportunities to fly to the island, so the tourism is growing.

Pizza

Yes, we insist on the pizza again: the best pizzas we've ever eaten are those from Sardinia, in a terrace of a quiet restaurant of the island. The secret: yes, the wood oven!

Make a budget

Like any other trip, making a budget when travelling to Sardinia is a must. At first Sardinia can seem a cheap island, as it isn't very tourist. However, despite not being really expensive, as it isn't very exploited as for the tourism is concerned, you are obliged to pay for an extra expense: the renting or a car.

Before travelling to Sardinia, make sure to know how much the renting is going to cost you, depending on the day and, above all, make sure to know the route you are going to take, in order to calculate the expense on fuel. If you don't take into account this expense, you'll spend much money than you had planned to.

The beauty of the stones

In Sardinia there are a lot of stones and rocks with surprising forms and shapes, but not only the ones you are supposed to find in the tourist places, but also stones you'll find on the road, almost without noticing them. Due to the wind effects and due to different meteorological aspects, the stones have been forming incredible forms and volumes, they are worthy!
