Night fun in VeniceVenice doesn't really stand for its night life, but there are different and interesting options. A room of La Traviatta Theatre and Opera:There are different theatres and operas to choose from. You can decide for a classic opera or for a Theatre representation and Opera in any of the city palaces. The prices are reasonable and quite similar in all the representations. They move from 16,00 to 25,00 € for a concert of one hour and a half and two hours. While walking across Venice streets you'll find representations advertising and selling points. We specially enjoyed "La Traviatta" representation in Palazoo Rfjdkf. It's a palace used to show opera concerts (they do a different representation every night). The singers aren't opera stars, but they work it out very well. Moreover, you as a public are next to them. It cost us 24,00 € per person and lasted two hours. You'll find adverstising programs in the tourist office. We thought they would give us a cup of wine, or so said the brochure, but they didn't! Pubs, Musical Bars and Discos:Venice is not riche in them. There isn't a bars and discos area specifically, however, if you walk from Piazza San Marco to Rialto Bridge you'll find different options. There are also bars scattered around the tourist area of Venice. In the tourism office they will give you a complete guide on the city. There's a section where they suggest you different options to go out at night depending on the time of the year. Activitities and music in the Street:People in Venice are used to going to sleep quite early. Our advice is to have dinner early in order to have enough time to assist to a concert or show within the streets of Venice, as they start around eight o'clock in the evening (febore 11 o'clock at night they are all finished). As we've already commented, the better option is to ask for a guide in the tourism office, because they explain you the shows depending on the time of the year. The Casino:The Casino is a fantastic place to spend a nice time. The Casino of Venice is set in one of the buildings of Il Gran Canale. You can easily reach it by walk or by taking Il Vaporetto, because there's a stop very near. But don't pretend to get rich!, but neither get poor! The best option is to decide how much you want to loose. If you win after all, you'll leave the Casino happier! ;-) Remember that the entrance is only admitted for adults over 18 years old and you need a national identity card or a passport to identify yourself. Walking at nightAt night the monuments and the city palaces are very well illuminated. Walking around the most emblematic monuments of the city is very amusing. Il Gran Canale at night with Il Vapporeto:If you are exhausted after so many walk, we suggest you to take "Il Vapporeto" and make all the route acrossil Gran Canale at night. In fact, although you are not tired, take it anyway, it's worth it. Take the black or red line (the quickest one) and make all the route. The best palaces on the Canale are perfectly illuminated and, at night, Rialto Bridge is even more beautiful. Sight of "Il Gran Canale" near Rialto Bridge It's a very relaxing tour, and if you are a couple, it's very romantic! |
